falling up

This morning, after I read the poem “Falling Up” by Shel Silverstein to the Flying Fish, the kids vehemently proclaimed, “That is not what happens. You cannot fall up when you trip on a shoelace.” I asked what force keeps you on the ground and they, of course, replied, “Gravity!”

Gever showed the kids his paragliding equipment as a demonstration of wind tunnels for humans – and of falling up.

The Ninja Cats represented kinetic energy with drawings after they experimented with chain reactions (and drank tea).
