Enroll at Brightworks

In the Brightworks admissions process, we work to balance four major criteria when accepting students: age, gender, economic situation, and cultural background. We seek to add students to our current group that will create a highly cohesive, productive, gender-balanced community of students that reflects the cultural diversity of the Bay Area. Our students are curious, passionate, and engaged learners who display their interest in the world through various approaches and mediums.

Please visit the admissions page for application materials and more information on the enrollment process for our day school.

Enroll after school

Tinkering School After School at Brightworks offers classes for all students in the San Francisco Bay Area. The building empties of day students and fills with new faces excited to take on new projects and big ideas that challenge and inspire. Read more and sign up for classes here.

Enroll during summer

Every summer, our building plays host to week-long sessions of Tinkering School San Francisco, which present a unique theme or challenge to each group of kids that puts creative thinking, self expression, and building skills to the test. We also offer sessions of Tinkering School just outside the city, the sleep-away camps that inspired Brightworks’ cornerstone ideas. Please click here for more information and sign-ups.

Brightworks holds diversity of opinion, lifestyle, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and race to be the cornerstone of our school community. Brightworks does not discriminate in its services, programs, or admissions on any of those above criteria.
