Our Nonprofit

Brightworks is a program of the Institute for Applied Tinkering, a nonprofit organization.

The IAT develops, practices, and shares educational methods that challenge and support children to engage deeply in their learning via real interests and real tools.

Brightworks is proud to be the sister organization of Tinkering School, which runs summer and day camp programming, and the Curious Educators’ Division, which develops and runs educator trainings and provides resources for teachers who want to bring more hands-on learning to their classrooms.

The IAT is committed not only to making programs available to families of all income levels but also to sharing their learnings with parents, teachers, and schools around the world.
