Unhurried afternoons full of creativity and connection

Aftercare Clubs Are Here!

At Brightworks, aftercare isn’t just extra time — it’s our kind of time: unhurried, creative, and full of discovery. Our students relish in the time when projects continue, new interests spark, and friendships deepen over shared play and projects.

We’re excited to officially roll out Aftercare Clubs — a mix of returning favorites and brand-new adventures that invite students to explore, tinker, and connect after the school day ends.

No sign-ups, no extra fees — just drop into aftercare, check in, and then head off to whichever club calls your name that day!

Mondays: Carving Club with Rob (and Pizza with James!)

Start your week with the satisfying rhythm of woodcarving — from refining old skills to trying something completely new. As chips fly and shapes take form, enjoy a slice of pizza fresh from James’s oven.
🕒 3:30–5:00 PM

Wednesdays: Dungeons & Dragons Club (Student-Led!)

Adventure awaits! Join a creative crew of storytellers, strategists, and adventurers as they journey through worlds of their own design. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to D&D, there’s always room at the table.
🕒 3:30–5:00 PM

Plus, Bake Day!
Wednesdays also mean warm treats from James’s kitchen — cookies, breads, and surprises in the making. While not an official club, extra hands are always welcome for stirring, rolling, and taste-testing.

Thursdays: Music Club with Cory H.

Grab an instrument, find your rhythm, and let the creativity flow. Led by local musician Cory H, this club is all about jamming, songwriting, and joyful noise-making — from piano and drums to vocals and bass.
🕒 2:45–5:00 PM

Fridays: LARP with Cory G.

End the week with a burst of imagination and movement! Cory G. brings his legendary LARP (Live Action Role Play) adventures to aftercare, complete with handcrafted foam gear, collaborative storytelling, and games like “banana tag.” It’s creative, high-energy, and absolutely Brightworks.
🕒 3:45–5:45 PM

Coming Soon: Clay Club!

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming Clay Club, where students can experiment with texture, form, and sculptural storytelling on Friday afternoons.

Aftercare Clubs are another way Brightworks students get to learn by doing — exploring new ideas, building skills, and finding joy in the everyday magic of community.

We can’t wait to see what unfolds in this season of creativity and play.
