Immersive Multi Day Event

AUDIOPHARMACY Four Directions:
Learning the GONA Principles, Sowing Seeds of Connection, Engaging Creativity
May 1 & 2 with Audiopharmacy
The Brightworks Power & Privilege team is thrilled with the success of the 2-day immersive Audiopharmacy/Brightworks Collaboration.
jo, Teao Sense, poko, Santos, and Ras K’dee led us through a beautiful, engaging, and mind-awakening experience. They were also joined by fellow musicians Obrayon and Chris.
Together, we learned about the GONA (Gathering of Native Americans) Principles of Belonging, Mastery, Interdependence, and Generosity. Students were activated in five powerful workshops:
Earth/Decolonial Art,
Fire/Self-Expression,
Water/Music Studio,
Air/Empowerment Affirmations and Power Moves,
and Heart/Sacred Stages & Ceremony (the glue that nourishes all the elements).
We ended with a beautiful cypher in the legacy of the Black American Hip Hop collective sharing talents. Overall, we feel fortunate to have had Audiopharmacy with us for this exciting event and look forward to more collaborations with them in the future.
